The 2022 Toyota Frontlander was the launch model, released in China in January 2022 with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and CVT. We export it as used, inspected vehicles for dealers and buyers who want Toyota reliability at the lowest price point in the Frontlander range.
The 2022 model was offered with one powertrain only: the 126 kW (171 PS) M20C 2.0-litre petrol engine driving the front wheels through a CVT with 10 simulated steps. There is no hybrid system to service, which suits markets where hybrid diagnostics and parts are still uncommon.
Five trims were sold — Elite, Leading, Luxury, Luxury Plus and Prestige. Infotainment is simpler than later years, with an 8-inch touchscreen (9-inch on Luxury Plus and Prestige) and a 4.2-inch driver display. Toyota Safety Sense with adaptive cruise is fitted from the Leading trim upward, and the top two trims include 360° cameras and a power tailgate.
Dimensions match the 2023 and 2024 models: 4,485 mm long with a 2,640 mm wheelbase and a 438-litre boot, and fuel consumption of 6.13–6.16 L/100 km on the WLTC cycle. It runs on RON 92 petrol or higher.
For importers building a used-car offer, the 2022 Frontlander complements the newer 2023 and 2024 models, giving customers a clear good-better-best choice within one familiar nameplate.

The hybrid Frontlander arrived with the 2023 model year, so every 2022 Frontlander is a 2.0-litre petrol. For buyers who want hybrid efficiency, consider a used 2023 hybrid.
The petrol engine’s strengths are simplicity and familiarity: conventional servicing, widely known components and no high-voltage system.
We source 2022 vehicles through domestic dealer, fleet and partner channels, check condition before purchase, and share real photos and inspection results with you. Availability changes weekly; ask for current units.
Because 2022 vehicles are older, check your destination’s import age limits first. Our market guides cover the main rules for each destination we serve.
Tell us the trim, powertrain, colour and equipment you need. We confirm what is available before you pay.
Floor mats, protective film, spare parts packs and other additional equipment can be added to the order.
Not needed for the Frontlander hybrid: it is self-charging. For mixed orders with EVs, chargers can be supplied.
Language settings, documentation formats, labelling or loading requirements: ask and we will confirm feasibility.
Our export team replies within 24 hours with price, availability and shipping options.
No. The 2022 model year was petrol only. The hybrid was introduced with the 2023 model.
The WLTC combined figure is 6.13–6.16 L/100 km depending on trim, per the China-market specification.
It depends on your country’s used-vehicle age rules. Check our market guides or ask our sales team before ordering.
In-stock vehicles can be shipped within 10 working days after payment. We confirm the exact timeline in your quotation.
